The recommendation system deciding who is shown a video.
Usually discussed as though it were a single adversary with preferences. It is more usefully understood as a system optimising for whether people who are shown something choose to watch it and keep watching.
Almost all durable 'algorithm advice' reduces to making something a specific person actually wants to finish. Advice that depends on a current quirk tends to expire.
