Recording several videos in one session to smooth output.

The standard defence against an irregular week: film four, publish over four weeks. It works well for evergreen formats where nothing dates.

It does not work for topical formats, which is a large part of why commentary is so much harder to sustain than it first appears.

Formats where this matters most

  • Commentary / OpinionAn authored take on current events or discourse. The source is referenced, not played.
  • Tutorial / How-ToStep-by-step instruction that ends with the viewer having actually completed a specific task.
  • Listicle / RankingA set number of enumerated items, each an originally scripted beat, usually counted down.
